The Blasted Heath

In Arkham in the west,
There is a strange pest.
A patch of withered ground,
Which they did found:
A great spot eaten by acid,
And ash never blowing away
On the wind it stayed.

Looks of ground burned over,
But no fire been there ages ago.
Locals avoid it at all,
Nothing growing tall.

Some distance away did bloom,
Unnatural luxuriance…

Expanding and expanding,
On the other side of the road.
Ruins of the old Gardner farm,
In the midst being an old well.

A meteorite fell to Earth there,
On the farm of Nathum Gardner.
Lightning destroyed it,
Leaking alien gas into the well.
Poisoning its waters…

Animals that drank from the well,
Grew taller then I can tell.
When humans did they went mad,
Their bodies deteriorated, so sad.

Maybe it still expands today,
But the valley was flooded
And underground it stayed…

The Bnazic Desert

A mild desert in the land of Mnar;
The Arabs breed and eat sea-green camels.
The people are taciturn,
Many being dangerous robbers.

The desert weirdly resembles a sea-bottom,
With plants like coral and seaweed.
The sands are blue and yellow-green,
Animals being likewise colored.

Most beautiful at night,
When animals move about
Like living stars…

The Bottomless Well

A monastery; windowless,
On the plateau of Leng.
There is a domed chamber
Containing the golden throne
Of the High-Priest Not To Be Described.

Six blood-stained altars,
Gaping circular pit;
Down the Vaults of Zin
There the Cultists be…

Similar well and monastery,
Where the Cultists climb
Way down to the pit
Of the moss-covered well.

The Catacombs

There is a place, an asylum, that is totally abandoned, totally in ruins and its locked up so nobody ventures there. It is completely dark and evil grinning are the hallways infested with many an evil spirit. I try to access this asylum for quite some time, because it is infested with many general books on the city (who do not interest me at all) but there are also many grimoires and books on the Black Art scattered there, which I insisted on finding.

I live one floor up from the catacombs which lead to the evil asylum, I lately moved downstair for up it was too crowded and downstairs there were huger rooms (also deserted, but not dark like in the asylum because there were huge windows set in its walls), there is a door downstairs (which is always open) which leads into the catacombs. Once in the room after you enter the door there lived a serial-killer, but he is there no more.

I was at all curious what dwells now in the catacombs, it was dark, it was evil, it was a blasphemous place. I opened the door and with the other explorers we ventured downwards. Immediately a spirit appeared (visible!) to chase us away. It was a female spirit, transcendent and very frightening. But not so frightening as the next spirit I encountered (but couldn’t see), who spoke unto me:

“I will pull your nails out.”

I was frightened that the spirit would really do this, then it spoke again:

“You shouldn’t take things so seriously.”

As fast as I could, I ventured into the dark halls of the asylum with the other explorers. My company couldn’t hear the spirits talking and didn’t knew what it had said to me, I was the only Medium in the party.

There was a stairway in front, dark looming in its own shadows. I knew it was a prohibited area, but then the company decided that I should have what was mine to seek, I ventured forth to find the books. My flashlight was too dim to illuminate the dark contours of the upper floor, I ventured into the darkness, but backed away as soon the fear of the dark came over me. Fortunately, the company-member Apep had a bigger flashlight with him, he turned it on and we had light where once roamed the dark.

Upstair, on one of the shelves, next to the many general books on the city I found a grimoire of the Black Arts. I started studying it and found that Apep also had an interest in it. He started reading from the book and the words “Abdul Alhazred” fell out in the open, I started rambling whole stories about Alhazred and Apep immediately gave the book to me, for he knew now that I knew.

I claimed one of the books, and thanks to the company it was without much danger. But after I found the book the Guardian of the asylum appeared. He was a normal-sized black cat who could speak the human language, he kept going on about the prohibited zones, and that it was too dangerous to venture alone in.

I wouldn’t have come this far without the company, for fear and darkness are always in my path in the insane asylum, for many spirits have killed themselves there, and many are evil spirits who drive on hatred and negativity. Horrible things can happen to a human spirit. Things the mind can’t comprehend. Take care not to lose your mind like I almost did in there. If I would have ventured alone, I would have achieved complete delirium…

The City Paris

I was out and free,
And so many sights I did see.
But I had to return to the asylum,
I rather be in Paris anyhow.

So with my money I traveled,
Safely driving far away to Paris.
Where my father has his home.

As long she is there I cannot be,
With my father in Paris you’ll see.
So I got a room in a hotel,
Very far away from Holland I tell.

Nox and Rox were following me,
Did they came from America over the sea?
I giggled, danced and jumped away,
Nox said it: “She cannot stay.”

Soul Work – Chapter 2: Azathoth The Flute Player

When heaven was not yet,

When humanity was not yet,

When the gods were not yet born,

When Death was not yet,

There was Yidhra.

‘Cause the Soul is the beginning of all things. It is the Soul that moves all things.

Everything is decided, the beginning as well the end, by powers that we cannot control, I call these powers Azathoth, who flutes everything in being. As it is for an insect so it is for a star that everything is decided. Human beings, plants, or cosmic dust, we all dance on the rhythm of a sacred song, which is being played in the center of the cosmos by an invisible flute-player named Azathoth.

It is difficult to imagine that it isn’t a living being, that it doesn’t possess knowledge, even from a Buddhist point of view. We have the opinion that by certain types birth is being based on the continuation of consciousness. The consciousness does not really come forth from materialism, but a continuation of consciousness can maybe come in the beginning.

If I suppose that the cells in my body not only carry my mind, but are exactly the same, there is nothing to deny that I and the mind and the cells in my body are communicating. The mind also communicates with the subconscious. There is identification between me and the cells in my body.

The Conjuration of Rlim Shaikorth

I conjure Thee, O Rlim Shaikorth, by all the most glorious and efficacious Names of the Great and Transcendent Lords of the Abyss, come quickly and without delay, front whatsoever part of the cosmos Thou art in; make rational answers to my demands; come visibly, speak affably, speak intelligible to my understanding. I conjure Thee, O Rlim Shaikorth, do Thou manifest before this altar, fulfill my will in all things that may seem good to me. Come in the Names of AZAGTHOTH, GHADAMON; come, METRATON commands Thee.

Soul Work – Chapter 1: The Immortal Soul

My name is Nug-Soth

My future is filled with prophecy.

When I reached the trance-state,

My Soul left me for another body.

Which properties can be seen, but not chosen by us, but needs to be a fact, must be prescribed by theory.

In my Soul there is a battle between God and Satan,

Between Heaven and Hell,

Between the Elder Things and the Old Ones,

Without Victor, only a Saviour which is self-chosen, I chose Cthulhu as my Saviour and he said to me:

If you’re not my daughter, I make you my daughter

Because I was strong he had chosen me.

Is that what suppresses me my Soul trying to get out, or the soul of the world that knocks on my heart to get in?

The soul is as the eye: when she is focused on that on which the truth and being shine, the soul shall see and understand, and being bright in intelligence; but when she is focused on the shadow of rising and sinking, than she has only one opinion, and she jumps from the one to the other, has now the one opinion and the second the other opinion, and does not seem to be intelligent.

Souls with the illusion of madness lose all contact with reality.

Souls that behave according this guideline are more than mad: they are lost.

The Soul is immortal because her specific errors, her moral corruption, cannot destroy her.
